Jimboomba is the acreage heart of southern Logan, on the Mount Lindesay Highway, and it is the suburb on this site where metal beats tile. Houses sit on large blocks with sheds, carports, stables and machinery bays alongside them, and most of those roofs are sheet metal of roughly the same vintage as the house.
That shapes the work. Metal roof restoration is the main job out here: a proper inspection of the sheets, laps, screws, flashings and ridges, low-pressure cleaning with the right chemicals, rust treatment and conversion where it is surface level, sheet and flashing replacement where it is not, new screws and seals, then primer and two coats of a metal-suitable membrane. Where there is a tile roof, the usual sequence applies: clean, tile repairs, rebedding and repointing in flexible compound, then sealer and coating.
Two acreage realities. Access is generally easy, which helps the price: room for gear, no tight side boundaries, no carrying materials down a path. And termite management is normal practice in South East Queensland, so if a roofer finds damaged roof timbers while they are in the cavity, they will tell you to get it looked at by the right trade rather than coating over the problem.

Does the drive out here add to the price?

Is a metal roof restoration as good as replacing the roof?
On sound sheeting, it gives you another decade or more for a fraction of the cost. Where rust has eaten through sheets or laps have failed across large areas, replacement is the right call, and a roofer should quote both when it is line-ball.
